Abstract

The research objective was to determine the growth and production of red ginger plants in various combinations of organic fertilizers. The research was conducted from July to November 2021, which is located, Tamalanrea Village, Tamalanrea District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province. With a height of ± 60 m above sea level. Climate type C according to Oldeman with moderate rainfall. The research design used a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 9 treatment combinations which were repeated 3 times. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers per clump, weight of wet rhizome, dry rhizome weight, and ton/ha weight. The results showed that the combination treatment of liquid organic fertilizer had a significant effect on the number of leaves at 100 DAP and the weight of dry rhizomes per clump. While no significant effect on plant height 40, 60, 80, dan 100 DAP, number of leaves 20, 40. 60, dan 80 DAP, number of tillers per clump, weight of wet clumps and production t.ha-1. The combination treatment of organic fertilizer 3.2 kg/petroganic plot + 3 mL/L of POC water (K6) was the best treatment indicated by the highest rhizome production of 21.12 t.ha-1.
