Abstract
Swedish speciality chemicals producer Perstorp has entered into a long-term toll manufacturing agreement with Italy's Alcoplast that will ‘substantially expand’ production capacity for its non-phthalate polyester plasticizer Pevalen™ from 2019 onwards. The alliance will more than double current capacity for the plasticizer to 50 000 tonnes per year, and improve unit metrics due to economies of scale, Perstorp says.
