There is an extremely brood market offer for this kind of product, chiefly because of the wide variation in company requirements and the highly competitive market context. . We can expect this situation to simplify eventually, though some degree of diversity will inevitably subsist, with different bus systems addressing different types of application. Forthcoming developments will mainly concern distributed intelligence, system interoperability, and new functionalities.
