Abstract

Purpose: Exercise is a core recommended treatment for all people with knee osteoarthritis (OA) irrespective of age, comorbidity, pain severity or disability. Nonetheless, effect sizes for exercise are modest. This may be because treatment effects are attenuated with the one-size-fits-all approach typically used in exercise prescription, rather than tailoring exercise according to clinical presentation.
