Abstract
We were immediately admitted in the National Mulago Referral Hospital, Kampala in the High Dependent Unit (HDU) ward in the early morning (12 am) of 29th October, 2020 and discharged on 7th November, 2020. At the time of our admission in late October despite of the aggressive and rapid scientific search for COVID19 cure, no drug had been found to be effective against COVID19. However, Case Management Team under Ministry of Health (MoH) had approved treatment guidelines especially for severe cases that included Hydroxychloroquine, Azithromycin, Dexamethasone, Paracetamol and Vitamin C and other support measures that varied from one patient to another.
