The subject of the study is a problem of “personal eschatology” in Bunin`s “Chung`s dreams”. A result of the research is a determination of the position for “personal eschatology” in Bunin`s legacy. Method of paradigmatic sifting for lexicon is used in this linguistic research. A ground of “personal eschatology” is a one of the dominate grounds in Bunin`s legacy. In “Chung`s dreams” “personal eschatology” are represented by paradigm of Chung`s reflection and Chung`s baas reflections. Projective set of the novel (paradigm NATURE (winter; snow; sea; wind; black waves)) leads to actualization of the conceptual set. We can see “personal eschatology” on the level of intertextuality like a referrals to Old testament`s discourse (Book of Job; Ecclesiastes; Song of Songs). Narrative strategies of the novel are represented by paradigm CHUNG`S DREAMS. Commixture of time mine for temporal paradigm and area mine for deixis paradigm is an approximation to “stream of consciousness” poetic. “Eschatology” in “Chung`s dreams” happens on the microcosmic levels of Chung and Chung`s baas. The captain`s tragedy is an emptiness of hope to possibility of the “blessedness” after lover`s in fidelity.
