Abstract

The current COVID-19 pandemic has prompted the development of a personal cloud system for storing data of infected patients’ personal information for data collection, testing, and other decision-making purposes. When we exchange data with others, we want to ensure that individuals’ privacy is protected as well. The COVID-19 pandemic has produced a large amount of data in hospitals that must be managed and refined as well as for successful future predictive analysis. Cloud storage is one of the methods for storing data on the internet that can be accessed from any location and on any computer. Cloud storage, which allows us to store and share photos, images, text documents, and other data over the internet, has grown in popularity in recent years. Rather than storing data on our computer using digital information or updated applications, we use services over the internet. The most common examples of cloud computing are Dropbox, Google Drive, and iCloud. These storage services allow the users to store data over the internet with a specific amount of storage depending on the user’s requirements. Computerized management, i.e., maintaining information of an institution, hospital, is an essential part of data management. The project’s goal is to create a cloud-based institutional data management system that would be useful to either a hospital, medical college, or any institution. The framework is a cloud-based technology that can be accessed through the entire university or by a specific department. The aim of this framework is to keep information accessible and preserve it. The idea of “cloud” is not new; it allows businesses to reduce the cost of having the hardware to save their data and the maintenance of those devices, using cloud storage and it became easy for the organizations to maintain and save their data to a third party. The project is being developed as a Raspberry Pi-based personal cloud storage service. The aim of this project is to see if the Raspberry Pi 3 can be used as a server and open-source software can be used as a personal cloud storage service. Personal cloud storage provides free services such as system synchronization and content sharing. With the support of the internet, it is possible to synchronize local folders with cloud servers. This project also lets users amount USB or externals to rage and access through it. Raspberry Pi is also the best alternative to make personal cloud storage because it confirms the security. The reason is without installing any additional software, Raspberry Pi is able to use a secure shell (SSH). Secure shell is known as a Unix-based command interface and protocol for securely getting access to a remote computer. It also allows you to connect to your server securely and perform a Linux command line operation.
