Abstract
Perpendicularly magnetized Fe-Pt (0 0 1) thin films were fabricated by RF-sputtering. A sample with a composition of 47.3 at% Pt has an energy product of 35.8 MG Oe and its atomic force microscopy (AFM) image exhibits peculiar grooved morphology, which is considered to be related to the high coercivity.
