Abstract

Summary This paper brings out the association of anodic isoperoxidases with microsporogenesis and male gametogenesis in an andromonoecious umbellifer, Scandix pecten-veneris L. The peroxidase diversity reflected in terms of band number on electrophoretograms increases during development of microspores and pollen grains. At anthesis, it is reduced significantly indicating relationship between differentiation of male sex cells and isoperoxidase activity.
