Abstract

Abstract Operative cholangiography was performed in 30 patients by a technique using a modified Foley catheter introduced into the common bile-duct after exploration. The visualization was satisfactory with flow into the duodenum, and additional stones, strictures, and congenital abnormalities were detected. This procedure is likely to reduce the incidence of residual stones following choledochotomy.
