Abstract
Much evidence has shown that perivascular adipose tissue plays a role in vascular homeostasis and the progression of vascular disease states. Multiple studies have demonstrated differences in perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) regarding the density around diseased vs healthy segments of the aorta and differences in the transcriptome of PVAT in these two populations. Our study aimed to define the differences in protein levels between PVAT surrounding diseased and healthy aortic segments in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms.
