Abstract

Typhoid ileal perforation is the 3rd largest causes of generalized peritonitis in Senegal. Typhoid perforation of the gallbladder is a rare entity even outstanding. We report the case of a 7 years old child, admitted at the surgical emergency for peritoneal irritation with a fever of long duration. After a short pre-operative resuscitation, surgical exploration revealed some generalized peritonitis with micro-perforated gallbladder. He received a cholecystectomy and peritoneal lavage associated with quinolone antibiotics and imidazole. Widal serodiagnosis was positive. Post-operative course was uneventfull.
