Abstract

Influence of heat and mass transfer on the peristaltic flow of pseudoplastic fluid in the presence of an induced magnetic field has been considered. The fluid is considered in a channel with non-conducting walls. Analysis have been made out under the assumptions of long wavelength and low Reynolds number. Series solution for the stream function, pressure gradient, magnetic force function, temperature and concentration distributions have been computed. The flow quantities have been examined for various interesting parameters. The pressure rise and heat transfer coefficient are also analyzed.
