Abstract

Summary The temporal artery and its main branches are easily accessible and can be cannulated as many as three times with a 22-gauge flexible catheter. Consistent cannulation of the temporal artery requires minimal mobilization of the vessel, insertion of the catheter using the catheter needle, and adequate immobilization.
