Abstract

Objective To investigate the nursing experience for patients with retroperitoneal tumor invading inferior vena cava. Methods To summarizes the nursing experiences for 37 patients with retroperitoneal tumor invading inferior vena cava. Results The preoperative nursing care focused on nursing of vasography and embolism. The key point of postoperative care focused on individuation of nursing according to tumor invading location,operative pattern, for example, nursing of blood vessel restitution,resection with single kidney, resection with bladder, injury of ureter and postoperative hemorrhage. Conclusions Perioperative nursing is necessary for speeding up recovery. Key words: Abdominal tumor; Inferior vena cava; Individual nursing
