Abstract
Appropriate pain management is important for early recovery and comfort medicine as cardiac surgery refers to a great variety of procedures and different types of postoperative pain. This review summarized the characteristics of cardiac surgery related postoperative pain and the pain management strategies and focused on ultrasound guided regional analgesia. The review supported multimodal analgesia in clinical practice to achieve the early recovery and comfort medicine after cardiac surgery.
