Abstract
(Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand. 2023;102:648–651) One often overlooked area of health care is oral care. Oral diseases and conditions are often neglected but are incredibly common, and pregnancy-associated hormonal changes can affect periodontal health. This editorial gives a big-picture view of recent literature relating to periodontal health in pregnancy and the associations with significant pregnancy outcomes.
