Abstract

We study a plane periodic problem of the theory of elasticity for a quasiorthotropic plane with an infinite series of closely located curvilinear holes by the method of singular integral equations. By using a unified approach to the solution of the problems of stress concentration factors near holes with sharp and rounded vertices, we obtain the stress intensity factors at sharp vertices of the holes. The stress concentration factors at rounded and sharp tips of two-sided parabolic and U-shaped notches are found as a result of the limit transition.
