Abstract

Constructive methods by obtaining multiple solutions of first and second order nonlinear hyperbolic periodic boundary value problems are given. Appropriate partial differential inequalities are developed, and are then employed to derive the iterative schemes which yield the desired solutions. The advantage of these methods is that the solutions of the given nonlinear problems are constructed as uniform limits of monotone iterates. These iterates being solutions of linear problems, are explicitly computable.
