Abstract

Periodic rigid line problem in an infinite plate under the action of remote stresses is studied in this paper. Using the complex variable function method, the problem is reduced into a solution of singular integral equation. The singular integral equation is converted into a Fredholm integral equation by the use of some substitution of the unknown function. A numerical approach is suggested for the solution of the obtained Fredholm integral equation. Finally, several numerical examples are carried out with the calculated stress singularity coefficients at the rigid line tips.
