Abstract

We investigate the periodic Anderson model using dynamical mean-field theory. The effective impurity problem is solved by means of the modified perturbation theory. Our focus is on the possibility of ferromagnetic order, and on the properties of the ferromagnetic phase. Within the ferromagnetic phase, the coupling between f- and s-electrons changes from anti- to ferromagnetic depending on the total number of electrons.
