Abstract

Two kinds of bifurcation behaviors in a simple nonsymmetric CNN system are discovered with the help of computer simulation. The first kind of bifurcation exhibits a cascade of period doubling bifurcations which lead to the birth of two coexisting Chua's single-scroll attractors. The second one presents a scroll doubling bifurcation which gives rise from Chua's single-scroll attractor to a Chua's double-scroll attractor.
