Abstract
The novel coronavirus infection has been continuously prevalent in China recently. On February 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Coronavirus Study Group of the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses officially named the new coronavirus as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and COVID-19 (corona virus disease 2019) for its caused diseases. Pregnant women and newborns are susceptible to SARS-CoV-2 because of their special physiological characteristics. This paper describes the recent clinical and basic research and guidelines on SARS-CoV-2 infection in newborns and pregnant women and provides practical reference for perinatal management of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
