Abstract

Skeletal malformations constitute a heterogeneous group of anomalies affecting the axial and peripheral skeleton. They include generalized disorders of the skeleton, characterized by abnormal cartilage and bone formation (skeletal dysplasias or osteochondrodysplasias), and focal musculoskeletal malformations. Malformations may be diffuse or localized. They occur in 0.4–0.6% of all pregnancies (Weintraub et al. 1999).KeywordsOsteogenesis ImperfectaFanconi AnemiaOssification CenterSkeletal DysplasiaAmniotic BandThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
