Abstract

Bacterial myocarditis is less common than viral myocarditis, and its clinical presentation may overlap with aspecific left ventricular dysfunction secondary to sepsis. Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus species are the most common causative organisms. Myocarditis associated with Achromobacter xylosoxidans infection is a rare occurrence.
