Abstract
The impact of the pandemic COVID-19 resulted in the weakening of the State economy causing a decrease in individual income, in contrast to the collection of zakat during the pandemic increased, the increase in zakat funds is inseparable from the behavior of muzakki, then from the purpose in the study how muzakki behavior in paying their zakat during the pandemic COVID-19, and how the response or response muzakki to the management of BAZNAS this study explored the approach of mix method with random sampling techniques numbered 396 respondents. The data was obtained based on the results of an online questionnaire through a google form. The results of this study showed that the behavior of charity during the pandemic COVID-19 does not affect in giving zakat even though it is in the red zone, in all respondents have done zakat, especially zakat fitrah which is often done in the month of Ramadan, as for zakat payments made in mosques or directly. However, the majority muzakki paid zakat through zakat institution because of credibility, transparency, and accountability reason.

Perekonomian global tidak terlepas dari peran ekonomi Islam yang mana memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pertumbuhan perekonomian global, salah satu kontribusinya yaitu dari segi keuangan, berdasarkan State of Global Islamic Economy Report 2020/2021 bahwa keuangan islami (aset) ditaksirkan mencapai 2,88 trilliun dollar pada tahun 2019 walaupun di tahun 2020 akan diperkirakan tetap sama, sedangkan untuk tingkat pertumbuhan kumulatif (CAGR) sebesar 5% dan akan prediksi di tahun 2020 sampai 2024 mencapai 3,67 triliun dollar. Hal ini merupakan dari tujuan dasar ekonomi islam itu sendiri yaitu mewujudkan kesejahteraan dan keadilan bagi masyarakat secara falah (dunia dan akhirat). Saat ini negara dilanda pandemi COVID-19 yang menyabab perekonomian global terguncang akibatnya berdampak pada perekonomian Indonesia yang terus mengalami penurunan atau lambat (Fauziyanti dkk., 2020), lemahnya pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia selama pandemi COVID-19 memunculkan beberbagai solusi ditawarkan yaitu salah satunya penyaluran dana zakat dari muzaki diberikan kepada pihak mustahik melalui perantaran pihak amil zakat. Aktivitas masyarakat terbatas diakibatkan oleh adanya pandemi COVID-19, padahal proses penghimpunan dan pendistribusian dana zakat harus tetap terlaksana selama pandemi, sehingga dapat terus memberi dampak positif terhadap kondisi ekonomi di Indonesia. Adapun kritera dalam penarikan sampel yaitu seorang muslim dan pernah melakukan zakat sehingga sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 396 muzaki atau responden
