Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of iridoplasty on cataract surgery in traumatic cataract with iris injury.Methods Iridoplasty combined with cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation were performed on 34 cases of traumatic cataract with iris trauma:iridodialysis,iris dehiscence or iris atrophy.Results Postoperative visual acuity were 0.05 ~ 0.1 in 6 eyes,0.2 ~ 0.5 in 24 eyes,0.6 or better in 4 eyes.Pupils of 24 eyes had been closed to normal postion (70.6%).Conclusion The iridoplasty was necessary and important in intraocular lens implant surgery in those cases with serious iris and lens injury.
