Abstract
In this paper, performance tests of a hearing aid utilized intensely by a person living a hearing trouble as stated in the methods described in IEC 60118 Electroacoustic -Hearing Aids series standards; such as total harmonic distortion, automatic gain control, output sound pressure level (OSPL), high frequency averaging, saturation sound pressure level (SSPL) and battery current measurement, have been made by applying hearing aids performance tests system infrastructure equipped in TUBITAK UME Medical Metrology Laboratory. The performance test parameters of the measured hearing aid have been clarified distinctly according to measurement outcomes and attention is put on the importance of effective market surveillance and/or control of hearing instruments in particular.
