Abstract

Materials are used in various environments, so they are easily corroded and damaged. The economic loss caused by material corrosion damage is huge every year. Stress corrosion damage occupies a high proportion of corrosion damage and its process is complicated. A large number of stress corrosion tests are required to determine the stress corrosion failure mechanism of materials. Due to its own characteristics, the slow strain rate test method has been widely used to explore the stress corrosion mechanism. This paper aims to study the performance test of corrosion system based on simulation control technology. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of stress corrosion, the theoretical basis of the slow strain rate test method, and the evaluation method of the slow strain rate test results, a full strain rate stress corrosion test device was designed, and the performance of the device was tested. The test results show that the sample in the repeatability test comes from a 1 mm thick sheet, so the yield strength and elongation are relatively large, which is in line with the actual situation.
