Abstract

In this present era, the solar module has become popular energy conducting element worldwide. Dhaka is also moving fast in this respect, witnessing by the presence of PV modules on practically almost all building’s rooftop. Nevertheless, because Dhaka is full of pollution and dust, it is easy to notice how PV modules grow dust quickly. Numerous weather parameters such as Dust, Temperature, Rain, shading by Clouds, and Solar Irradiance significantly affect the output energy performance of the PV module. This research paper figures out the impact of dust, temperature, and Solar Irradiance on the efficiency of a photovoltaic method at an altitude of more than 80 m in the middle of Dhaka city in Bangladesh. The study compares the performance of solar irradiance and efficiency of two PV modules where one was kept dusty, and another one was cleaned regularly and tried to determine the effect of dust on the PV modules. The analysis demonstrates the performance of the clean module 6.711% more compared to the dusty module as accumulated dust increases the surface temperature of the PV module and blocks some portion of solar irradiance. Furthermore, the performance of the modules is affected due to clouds and rain.
