Abstract

With the excellent ability of anti-interference, the conventional Transform Domain Communication System (TDCS) is conditioned in extensive application for its weak anti-fading ability in fading channel between the transmitter and the receiver. This paper presents a Multiple-input Multiple-output Transform Domain Communication System (MIMO-TDCS) by adding vertical Bell Labs layered space-time (V-BLAST) receiver architecture of MIMO system to TDCS, by which suppresses the channel fading. The paper introduces the scheme and function model of MIMO-TDCS as well, and designs a novel zero forcing detecting algorithm at the receiver for the proposed system. The simulation results show that the fading suppressing performance in terms of bit error rate (BER) is improved compared to conventional TDCS. According to different simulation models, the analysis indicate that for the ratio between the number of the transmit antennas and the receive antennas of 3/4 or lower, the BER performance improves significantly. By the virtue of TDCS and MIMO, the proposed system is a sort of reliable communication technique which both has interference avoidance and channel fading mitigation ability.
