Abstract

In the current era of the energy sector every mankind trying to invent new trend to save energy with environment for fulfilling the raising world’s energy demands. Refrigeration and air conditioning is the vast area to study in terms of saving energy subsequently environmental safety. Nanotechnology playing vital role to improve the heat transfer characteristics of working media-refrigerant-lubricant in the various section of system namely condenser, compressor, and evaporator. Aim of the current research work is mainly focused on experimentally investigation of effect on the performance by the use of Nano-lubricant and Nano refrigerant with nature friendly HFO-R1234yf vs R134a-HFC high GWP ranking refrigerant for MTR VCR system. Different combinations of Alumina, Titanium oxides nanoparticles with volume % ranging from 0.5 % to 1 % with Polyolester and pure Polyolester lubricant. From the result it is seen that system performance improved by 18 % and 15 % in terms of COP and 23 % and 19 % reduction in power consumption for 0.55 % of AL2O3 and 0.5 % of TiO2 respectively. Also studied for the various distinct methods to produce stable Nano-fluid, which concludes UPM-Ultrasonic probe methodology was faster and effective amongst the all methods. Research paper also highlighted the future orientation need to see in this area with HFO-HFC blends to improve the performance parameters and for more dense and economical system design.
