Abstract

Wind power is considered one of the most important non-conventional power sources to update fossil fuels for the era of energy. Stability of wind farm distribution system becomes more important for wind turbine mills. This paper offers the performance development of a distribution system related with wind turbine induction generator with the aid of the facts device SVC & STATCOM. The fixed wind speed induction generator stability is analyzed here. The performance of the distribution system, throughout an external three phase fault is investigated. Simulation results are presented for special cases consisting with and without SVC& STATCOM. For comparing the system with SVC and STATCOM five types of faults (LG, LLG, LLLG, LL and LLL) are considered. The simulation evaluation of stability of allotted device with WTIG is accomplished using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
