Abstract

Aiming at the scenario of very high throughput wireless local area networks (VHT WLANs) under co-channel interference, the user's performance of the locations of access point coverage followed Poisson distribution and multi-user pre-coding adopted linear pre-coding is analyzed. The probability density function (PDF) expression of the user's SIR (signal to aggregated interference ratio) is derived. On this basis, the expressions of user's BER (bit error ratio) and capacity between access point and users are obtained. The results illustrate that the user's performance decreases with the increase of the antenna number because of aggregated interference. In order to solve the drawbacks of carrier sensing mechanism of VHT WLANs under co-channel interference, the access mechanism based on interference protection is proposed. Thus, the station can contend the channel right and prepare for data transmission when the user's SIR is less than the protection threshold, indicating the VHT WLAN can maximize the system throughput under co-channel interference. Finally, the correctness of analysis and the effectiveness of the proposed scheme are verified through simulations.
