Abstract

The ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless technology is a crucial technique. Pulse position modulation with time hopping (PPM-TH) is one of the basic UWB modulation methods. In this paper, we study the traditional UWB and time reversal (TR) UWB performance in the PPM-TH system respectively. Although the performance of TR UWB is better than normal UWB, the Bit Error Rate (BER) is high when the noise is large. So we improve on TR with one-bit technique which is sacrificing partial temporal focusing to increase amplitude. In some complex environment one-bit TR is more suitable for this system than traditional TR.
