Abstract

The performance of the alanine tape-tab alanine dosimeter (Harwell) under typical irradiation conditions found on an industrial Co-60 gamma sterilization facility has been investigated over a period of 11 and 56 days. The factors investigated were the pre-irradiation temperature storage, the temperature during irradiation, and the time after irradiation. The response measurements were statistically analyzed using 2-Sample T-Test and ANOVA. The results show that for the purpose of the use of this system in a processing facility the response of the dosimeter can be considered stable over the period of time considered in this study.
