Abstract
We examine the performance of coded DS-CDMA wireless systems over both additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and flat Rayleigh fading channels. The code used is based on Reed-Solomon (RS) codes. The performance of the minimum mean square error (MMSE) multiuser detection (MUD) combined with an antenna array in the coded DS-CDMA system is investigated. It is shown that the proposed RS coded space-time MMSE-MUD offers a substantial performance improvement over the uncoded single-user bound, the coded conventional detection system with an antenna array and the uncoded space time MMSE-MUD.
