Abstract

In this work, bit error rate analysis of a dual rate multi processing gain quasi-synchronous (QS) CDMA system is performed on additive white Gaussian noise channel with matched filter and on Rayleigh fading channel with matched filter and maximum ratio combiner for deterministic and random codes. Numerical results show that the performances of deterministic Gold codes and random codes are very different for both channels. Furthermore, the performances of two rates are different for Gold codes unlike random codes. Therefore, random code assumption is not realistic for multi-processing gain QS-CDMA.
