Abstract

Multiple-dwell code acquisition with diversity is investigated for direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) multicarrier systems over multipath Rayleigh fading channels. Both the subband overlapped and non-overlapped multicarrier DS-CDMA systems are considered. A new analytical method is developed to evaluate the mean acquisition time to any desired accuracy. Numerical results illustrate the effects of the other user interference, the number of carriers, the operating signal to noise ratio on the mean acquisition time performance.
