Abstract

The performance of the IBM RISC 6000 (RS6000) family of workstations in electron correlation energy calculations using many-body perturbation theory is measured. The performance characteristics are compared with data recently obtained for the CRAY Y-MP C-90 computer. Price-performance ratios are also compared.
