Abstract
Industrialization has major role in economic growth of any country, which encourages the growth of pollution level. Sugar industry is second largest agro-industries and coming under heavy polluting loaded effluent. To reduce the pollution level up to the discharge norms an attempt has made with copper compound. Effectiveness of copper compound has been compared with for classic coagulation with advance electro-coagulation process. The results show that treatment with copper electrode 92% of chemical oxygen demand and 95% color removal at optimum conditions is possible.
