Abstract

This work reports the performance of an axially displaced ellipse (ADE) antenna with an electrically small aperture. The diameter of the antenna is about 20¿ 0 , which is considerably smaller than the ADE antennas already reported. This antenna provides a measured peak gain of 33.3 dBi at 8.484 GHz, which corresponds to an overall efficiency of 55%.
