Abstract

The ameliorated inter-carrier interference (ICI) cancelation scheme can reduce orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) sensitivity to frequency synchronization errors, and achieve same bandwidth efficiency as normal OFDM. In this paper, we develop a closed form expression of symbol error rate for the ameliorated ICI cancelation subjected to carrier frequency offset (CFO) over Nakagami-m fading channel. Our results show that, the ameliorated ICI cancelation can improve the OFDM performance subjected to CFO to extent lower than polynomial cancelation coding (PCC) OFDM, yet it provides double bandwidth efficiency of PCC-OFDM.
