Abstract

Whilst health care resources remain under immense pressure, standardised assessment pathways such as rapid access chest pain clinics (RACPC) may provide opportunities for improved clinical efficiency. However, despite a wealth of data supporting RACPC overseas, published efficiency metrics within the Australian setting remain sparse. In 2015 we established a nurse-led RACPC. Compared to an historic general outpatient clinic, we herein report the impact of RACPC on key timelines and patient satisfaction.
