Abstract

A focus on reducing costs of medical care and addressing public and government demand for provider accountability has led to the development and reporting of performance measures for interventional cardiovascular procedures. Professional societies and government agencies are developing data registries and evidence-based performance measures in percutaneous coronary intervention, peripheral intervention, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
