Abstract

In adaptive phased-array radar, deterministic timing mismatch of few nanoseconds, due to the clock distribution network, may exist between the in-phase and quadrature signal components and between a pair of receiving channels. In this paper we analyse the effect of the timing mismatches on the cancellation performance of a simple adaptive array with a main and an auxiliary receiving channels. A compensation method is also devised.
