Abstract
Quality, delivery and cost are three main concerns during product manufacturing. Of the three, quality is the preliminary requirement to enter the competitive market. Fast delivery speed is instrumental in enhancing the strength of organization’s competition. This paper constructs a reasonable manufacturing time for each process, and proposes a performance index of process manufacturing time. The reasonable manufacturing time can be transformed to production capacity and can be applied to process performance measure. This study proposes a manufacturing time analysis chart to assess process performance and indicate chances for improvement. A night vision goggle example is provided to illustrate this methodology.
