Abstract

This paper provides a performance evaluation of three-dimensional (3-D) high resolution radar imaging systems at millimeter-Wave (mmWave) frequencies using K-interpolation and Matched filter methods. At first, transmitted and received radar signals from objects is modelled and used to evaluate the performance of image reconstruction algorithms in term of resolution and processing time. Then a real radar imaging system is built with IWR1642 FMCW radar module, DCA1000EVM real time data capture board and a dual axis XY-X table robot. The data collected from the radar system is then used to validate the performance of imaging reconstruction algorithms.
