Abstract

In order to guarantee the sTable operation of highway, to improve the emergency handling ability and the public service level, and to take full advantage of video surveillance system to discover and confirm the traffic emergencies timely, most of provinces are accelerating the construction of highway video surveillance networking system at present. But there are great differences in the performance of these developed systems, because of the differences in the system integration technology and method. Based on the main current integration technology and the structure of highway video surveillance networking system, a set of objective, scientific, operational performance evaluation index was studied in this paper for user requirements, and then the technical specification of every index was determined. These indexes were used to evaluate the performance of developed video surveillance networking system, optimize system performance, in order to realize the real-time video surveillance efficiently.
