Abstract

We discuss the performance of a new column-orthogonal two dimensional spread spectrum (2DSS) multicarrier communication system, under the correlated Rayleigh fading channel with an additive white Gaussian noise. A new result on the probability density function of the sum of square is achieved, which is very important for the performance analysis of the system, and can be used in similar problems. Furthermore, closed-form expressions of the bit error rate performance of the non-coherent and coherent communication system are derived. The numerical results of the performance of this 2DSS multicarrier system show that the correlation decreases the performance of the system.
